I created a new workspace and imported the projects in a fresh workspace and can see a difference in the behavior. The explorer views behave the same in the Java perspective. I don't see the "Show in Local Terminal" menu nor the "Terminal" entry in the "Show in" menu. The "Show in" menu does not contain the "Terminal" entry. In a Java project I can see the "Show in Local Terminal" menu. In a non Java project I can see the "Show in Local Terminal" menu.
